Michele Sutton

MA, CHES, BCC, NBC-HWC, Health and Wellness Coach

Michele brings over 14 years of wellness coaching to Canyon Ranch Tucson. Her experience in neuropsychology, personal training, group fitness, lay (wellness) ministry, and education helps guests meet their wellness intentions. She specializes in holistic wellbeing, behavior change, stress management, tobacco cessation, and mind-body awareness.

Prior to a guest's arrival at Canyon Ranch Tucson, Michele helps each person to set intentions for their stay to better identify and prioritize wellness needs. Before resort guests return home, she reaches back out to develop “a personalized and realistic action plan that includes the guest's wellness vision, long and short-term goals, and strategies to overcome barriers to change.” She is also available for phone or video consultation after a stay at Canyon Ranch, upon request. The wellness plan incorporates all Provider recommendations received during the guest's stay at the resort.

Michele says she is most proud of her success in helping individuals of all ages and backgrounds to cultivate sustained behavior change in areas such as tobacco cessation, mindfulness, stress reduction resilience, diabetes management, weight loss, and self-awareness.

Before coming to Canyon Ranch in Arizona, Michele worked with coaching clients varying from large corporations to one-on-one consultations.

In her downtime, she loves running, cooking whole food/plant-based meals, dancing, listening to live music, traveling, and spending time with her adult children, extended family, and friends. She is a firm believer that words are powerful — both those that we share with the world, and the ones we speak to ourselves. “It is important to remain ever mindful of how we use our voices.”
